Airport
Ko Samet does not have its own airport. The closest airport is U-Tapao–Rayong–Pattaya International Airport (UTP), located approximately 70 kilometers (43 miles) from the ferry piers in Ban Phe, which is the gateway to Ko Samet. From U-Tapao Airport, you can take a taxi or pre-booked private transfer to Ban Phe. The journey takes around 1-1.5 hours. From Ban Phe, you can then take a ferry or speedboat to Ko Samet, which takes approximately 30-45 minutes.
